Loudoun County, VA – Broadlands Democrat Elizabeth Miller received another major endorsement this week in her bid to replace two-term Republican delegate Thomas “Tag” Greason (R-32). The national organization, Democracy for America (DFA), has added the Miller campaign to a short list of Virginia races worthy of its support. DFA is dedicated to strengthening the middle class, fighting for marriage equality, and ensuring that everyone can make their own healthcare choices.
“Having knocked on more than 30,000 doors herself in elections past, Elizabeth Miller knows what it takes to run and win as grassroots progressive and that’s why Democracy for America is incredibly proud to endorse her in her race to represent Virginia’s 32nd district,” said Jim Dean, chair of DFA. “Voters across the Old Dominion are sick and tired of the stranglehold the radical right has on Richmond and, in 2013, by electing candidates like Elizabeth Miller, they will put in place the progressive voice needed to stop it.”
The Miller campaign has been knocking on doors non-stop since she entered the race in late May. Miller has been very critical of Delegate Greason’s vote in favor of the controversial trans-vaginal ultrasound and against bringing Metrorail to Loudoun County.
“Democracy for America has long been an ally for working families all over our great commonwealth,” said Miller. “They understand that Loudoun County deserves a delegate who will stay out of our bedrooms and doctor’s offices and focus on things like real transportation solutions.”
Virginia’s gubernatorial and legislative elections are on November 5.
